Truck & Dog

Truck & Dog

While hydraulic installations for trucks and dog trailers are often handled by the body builder, Melbourne Hydraulics offers a convenient solution by providing comprehensive hydraulic setups tailored to suit rigid tippers or truck-and-dog configurations if needed. We can handle the hydraulic setup, allowing the body builder to focus directly on the hoist and subframe work.

The rigid tipper kit includes all the same components as our semi tipper kit, with the added benefit of an air tailgate switch for single tipper functionality. Secondary switching and valving for dog trailers is also available.

Our standard system provides a standard flow rate of approximately 85 litres per minute at 1000rpm and maintains a relief pressure of 2500psi. We can however option different PTO’s and pump sizes as per body builder requirements. Our control valves are equipped with high-volume relief valves to safeguard against over-pressurisation during spreading operations. Cab controls can also be tailored to your needs, allowing you to choose the setup that best suits your preferences. Controls can be fitted anywhere, from beside the driver’s seat to the roof panel.

We can also assist with arranging a hydraulic tank, should one be required. Whether you require tank splits, a full conversion from diesel to hydraulic or a tank positioned behind the cabin, we have you covered. Our extensive range of options ensures that you can find the perfect hydraulic tank configuration to meet your needs.
